Fighting the good fight

Somerville, home to the Terri and Ezra show headquarters, is eyeing a fight to issue marriage licenses to out-of-state gay and lesbian couples.

    Just a couple of notes. 1) The 1913 law was originally intended to prevent interracial out-of-state couples from marrying in Massachusetts 2) It’s worth pointing out: the fight has shifted from “can gay people marry” to “can out-of-state gay people marry in Mass.” I think this bodes well for not only the marriages not being nullified in the future, but also that gay marriage won’t become illegal again in 2006.
