Yeah, well…
On my birthday in 1872 Susan B. Anthony voted for the first time (in defiance of the law… she was fined $100).
George B. Selden was granted the first U.S. patent for an automobile in 1895.
Many presidents were elected… Wilson in 1912, Roosevelt in 1940, and Clinton in 1996, among others.
In 1935, Monopoly was released.
And in 1979, Morning Edition premeired on the nipper.
Folks with my birthday… Vivien Leigh, Sam Shepard (who I’ve seen in person, but not met), Tatum O’Neal, and our own Johnny Damon (who is one year older than me).
Notable deaths on my birthday… Guy Lombardo in 1977 and Fred MacMurray in 1991.
As there is Latvian somewhere in my heritage, it’s also worth mentioning that the ancient Latvian festival of Katrina is also on my birthday (though I can’t find any details on said festival).
Boris Karloff and Sid Vicious both died on your birthday, mate.
