Someday fundraiser: win a date with Willie!
I haven’t mentioned the Someday in a while. Saturday is its last day of operation (while I am unfortunately- but-not-really-that-unfortunately at a letterpress class at Mass Art). The employees are still trying to raise funds and find a spot to re-open as a new cafe.
Today’s fundraiser idea is a doozy: win a date with Willie! Brilliant!

I had my very first cup of coffee at the Someday when we were looking at apartments in Somerville in late 1996. I also have heard that many of the ladies find Willie quite handsome. While I cannot vouch for that, I will say he makes a mean latte.

As far as I can tell, Willie is a sweetie pie. Ez and I first met in the Boston area at the Someday in early 1997. It will be weird when it’s gone (or moves). At least we’ve had time to get used to the idea.
