Small Victory
I forgot to mention, I finally, after about a year of procrastination and meat-mongering, defeated the Naughty Sorceress and Ascended in Kingdom of Loathing.
An ascender is me.

I’ve never heard of this game before. I’m mildly intrigued. Is it safe to assume that you played as an Accordion Thief or is that just too obvious?

You got it. Accordion Thief.
It’s a clever little game that can easily siphon off hours of your life that you weren’t using anyway. Highly recommended. My pal Doug wrote a pretty good description: http://www.summervillain.com/blurgh/content/2005/07/loving-the-loathing/

I might give it a try. My only multi-player ongame experience was less than satisfactory. Condensed and translated into normal english it might sound like this:
Me: Hi. How’s it going?
Wizard: Hi.
Me: I’m new to this.
Sorceress: Hello.
Me: Can I tag along?
Barbarian: Ummm, sure. I guess.
Amazon: Whatever.
They talk amongst themselves for a while. We come across some enemies. I pitch in to help but nobody returns the favor. I try picking up loot or power-ups but everyone edges me out.
Me: Now what?
Wizard: We’re like, going over there.
Me: Uhmm…Ok. Well I’m going over there.
Druid: Later.
Me (to self as I close out my session): This is too much like highschool.

Well, it’s not a multi-player thing. You’re on your own in the little stick figure world. There is chat stuff but it’s sort of on the side, and I don’t really bother with it.
