Hypocrisy is the greatest luxury
Like the Passat Wagon I mentioned earlier, here’s one more to file under “non-SUV owners who aren’t smart enough to make sure their car is more fuel efficient than an SUV before putting a smug anti-SUV bumper sticker on their fuel guzzler”. Volvo wagons get between 14 and 18 mpg generally. Hummer H3’s get 15.
That said, I’m not going to be getting a Hummer anytime soon. Nor will I be wearing Hummer cologne.

Hummer Cologne analysis:
Top Notes: Cardamom, 10W-40 motor oil, hint of “Pine Tree Air Freshener”
Middle Notes: Sandalwood and ambergris harvested exclusively from whales killed in marine industrial accidents.
Base Notes: Diesel, and a trace of Special Reserve “leaded” gasoline. Also, vanilla.
In all seriousness, the base note is Tonka - as in Tonka beans not Tonka Trucks, but still…

One of the things I know without knowing how I know it is that in the early part of last century it was (briefly) fashionable to wear gasoline as a personal fragrance. I was somewhat disappointed that Hummer didn’t seize the opportunity to renew the trend. If you’re going to be that environmentally reckless you might as well flaunt it.
