There are almost no single-family dwellings and there is extremely little green space. The big difference between Somerville and NYC layout-wise is that everybody in Somerville gets a postage-stamp sized yard, and in NYC, it's all concentrated in parks. We have a corner lot and consequently have sort of 3x the standard-issue Somerville yard.
