That and the fact that the production was legendary for being a fiasco overshadowed the movie's genuine charms. There's a great book about the making of the film called Losing the Light: Terry Gilliam and the Munchausen Saga. It's both a sobering and hilarious account of how making a film can go terribly, terribly wrong. I miss snow but I'm grateful that I don't have to shovel it.
